Wedding Website Wording Examples: Dress Codes & RSVPs
The words on your wedding website set the tone for the whole celebration. These are the examples we share most often with couples — copy them as-is or use them as a starting point.
Dress code wording
Cocktail attire.
Cocktail attire — think midi or knee-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and a suit and tie. Comfortable shoes are a good idea: there will be dancing.
Black tie optional.
Black tie optional. Tuxedos and floor-length gowns are welcome, but a dark suit and a cocktail dress are equally perfect.
Beach formal.
Beach formal — flowy dresses, linen suits, and sandals are all wonderful. The ceremony is on grass near the sand, so please skip stilettos.
Filipiniana / cultural.
We'd love to see Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog if you have them — otherwise, formal attire in warm earth tones is perfect.
RSVP wording
Warm, simple ask.
Kindly RSVP by [date] so we can finalize seating and the kitchen. You can respond right here on this page — it only takes a minute.
Strict headcount.
Because our venue has a limited capacity, this invitation is reserved for the names on your RSVP card. Please reply by [date] to confirm.
Hotel block wording
We've reserved a room block at [Hotel Name] at a special rate of ₱[amount] per night. Use the code [CODE] when booking, or call the hotel and mention the [Last Name] wedding. The block expires on [date].
If you have several options:
We've blocked rooms at two nearby hotels so you can choose what fits your budget: [Hotel A — rate, code] and [Hotel B — rate, code]. Both are within 10 minutes of the venue.
Polite ways to say 'no plus ones'
To keep our day intimate, we're only able to accommodate the guests named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.
Our venue has a limited capacity, so we're keeping the guest list to close family and friends. We hope you'll celebrate with us solo and meet our other favorite people on the dance floor.
Adults-only wording
We love your little ones, but we've chosen to keep our celebration an adults-only evening. We hope this gives you a chance to relax and enjoy the night with us.
While we adore your children, our venue isn't set up for kids. We hope you can arrange a sitter and join us for the evening.
Gifts & registry wording
Your presence at our wedding is the only gift we need. If you wish to honor us further, a small contribution toward our honeymoon fund is warmly appreciated.
We've been blessed with a home full of everything we need. If you'd like to give a gift, a monetary blessing in a card means the world to us.
